How did the White Russian make a comeback?
The White Russian gained significant exposure in popular culture, particularly through its association with the character "The Dude" in the 1998 film "The Big Lebowski," directed by Joel and Ethan Coen. The character, played by Jeff Bridges, famously drinks White Russians throughout the movie, contributing to the cocktail's iconic status.
This week’s tip: Making your own coffee liqueur
Homemade Coffee Liqueur, yes it’s a thing and yes it’s really really easy to make at home
1 cup of leftover coffee grounds, coffee grounds, or instant espresso
1 cup brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
Mix and let sit overnight.
Mix in
1 cup heated water, like hot from your kettle
2 cups vodka
And strain
Et voila!
