What do we need for today’s episode?

For Brad’s Gin Old Fashioned

  • Mixing glass

  • Jigger

  • Strainers, hawthorn

  • Bar spoon

  • Ice

  • Rocks glass

  • Old Tom Gin 

  • Demerara simple syrup 

  • Elderflower Liqueur 

  • Cardamon bitters

  • Orange bitters (grapefruit bitters work great here too) 

  • Salt solution (80:20) 80 grams of water to 20 grams of salt 

For Jules’ Fernet Old Fashioned, aka the Toronto

  • Mixing glass

  • Jigger

  • Strainers, hawthorn

  • Bar spoon

  • Ice

  • Nick and Nora glass

  • Rye whisky 

  • Fernet 

  • Simple syrup 

  • Angostura bitters 

  • Garnish: orange twist
